Now on display at the Bristol Public Library is a very unusual collection of Russian samovars, belonging to Judi Sheridan of North Bloomfield. Samovars are metal containers traditionally used to heat and boil water.
Since heated water is usually used to make tea, a samovar has an attachment on the top of its lid to hold and heat a teapot filled with a tea concentrate. The antiques on display were typically used in and around Russia, European countries, as well as the Middle East.
