Snoopy on Display

The World War I Flying Ace has landed at the Bristol Public Library. A wonderful collection of Snoopy memorabilia, belonging to Joanna Smith, will be on display in the library’s display case through November.

Ms. Smith’s collection began in the late 1970s when she purchased two Snoopy Christmas ornaments. Her collection took on a life of its own when friends and relative began giving her Snoopy gifts for her birthday and Christmas. They all tried to find the most unique or special item. Gifts were found in second hand shops, flea markets, catalogs, gift shops and on vacation in other states. The most special to Joanna are the home made ones. Finally, having to many and not enough space a halt was called to the Snoopy giving.

The Peanuts comic strips beloved beagle is on display on the second floor.
