Borrowing Library Materials

Know the due date of your library materials
Loan periods vary depending on the format and owning library.
Be sure to check your date due receipt to determine the due date for each item.

 

Bristol Public Library Materials

 

Books and Books on CD
-may be borrowed for 3 weeks
-fines are $.10 per day, per item beginning one day after due date
-no limit per library patron
-may be renewed 3 times, but only if no one else has requested them

Magazines
-may be borrowed for 2 weeks
-fines are $.10 per day, per item beginning one day after due date
-no limit per library patron
-may be renewed 3 times, but only if no one else has requested them

Video Games
-may be borrowed for 1 week
-fines are $1.00 per day, per item beginning one day after due date
-limit of 4 video games per library patron
-may be renewed 1 time
-no holds

DVDs
-may be borrowed for 1 week
-fines are $1.00 per day, per item beginning one day after due date
-limit of 10 DVDs per library patron
-may be renewed 2 times, but only if no one else has requested them

Blu-rays

-may be borrowed for 1 week
-fines are $1.00 per day, per item beginning one day after due date
-limit of 4 Blu-rays per library patron
-may be renewed 2 times
-no holds

Music CDs
-may be borrowed for 1 week
-fines are $1.00 per day, per item beginning one day after due date
-limit of 10 CDs per library patron
-may be renewed 2 times, but only if no one else has requested them

 

Loss of Borrowing Privileges

Patrons must be in good standing with the library to borrow materials.
A patron is unable to borrow materials when fines and/or fees are in excess of $1.00.
